WELCOME TO POSA POSA
Since 1984, Posa Posa has been one of Rockland County’s most beloved Italian restaurants. We pride ourselves on our authentic Italian cuisine and family-oriented atmosphere, providing our customers with two different dining experiences, all under the same roof. On any given night you can bring your family in to share a pie on our lively pizza side, or enjoy date night in our newly renovated dining room! Either of our two dining rooms can serve as the perfect location for your next party or event, or we will gladly cater and bring the food to you. Over the past few years, Posa Posa has made additional efforts to cater to the different needs of our customers by providing health friendly options, including Gluten-Free pizza and pasta. Stop in for our famous Fresca slice!
Buon appetito.
Our History
Along the Amalfi Coast, set in the mountains that kiss the Mediterranean Sea is Positano, Italy, our family’s hometown. According to the legend, the original founders and inhabitants of Positano were sailors who were out at sea amidst a great storm. Echoing from the mountains they heard a voice that called out to them “Posa Posa” which, translated from Italian, means “rest, rest.” They sailed upon the rocky shore, finding solace in the coast, and decided to remain there.
Centuries later, our restaurant’s founders emigrated from their beautiful village to New York, with the dream of opening a restaurant that would pay homage the to village they left behind. The original partners, some of whom are recognizable to the frequent customer, are all of that same family that settled here not too long ago.
Partner and chef, Antonino Criscuolo, gained his experience as a chef working in hotels on the Amalfi Coast, including the luxurious Le Sirenuse.
Partner and managers John Mandara and Steven Aiello have striven to make Posa Posa Rockland County’s favorite Italian family restaurant. It has been, for 27 years, that pizza place where the staff knows your name, your face, and your “usual” order.
At the front counter, long time employees with that “rough around the edges” approach (straight out of an episode of Seinfield it seems…) will serve you, our valued customer, an acclaimed slice of pizza.
Good food. Great prices. There's a casual eating side for pizza and a nice restaurant side for nice dining. Both had a bar to order drinks. Our favorite pizza in Rockland.Marilyn P.

The customer service is thorough and quick. They have a good variety. A Rockland best, if you love pizza and Italian food. Whats impressive is the freshness and taste of food, never salty or scimpy on the ingredients.Deidre-Ann F.

This is a great place we frequent often. Not only is the food good but the owners are genuine good people that give back to the community. I have grabbed a pizza to go and other times have eaten in for eggplant parm.Barbara C.

Thoroughly enjoyed dinner. Homemade gnocchi and clams with white wine. My little ones had fries and homemade chicken fingers which were delicious. Staff was friendly, accommodating, and present but not intrusive. They also didn't skimp on the drinks. Overall, a wonderful experience and will be returning.Jesse L.

We always enjoy our food here. Service is great - always really attentive and friendly. This time I tried the Veal Posa Posa and the light cream sauce was perfect, I didn't want anything too heavy and it hit the spot.Tom Y.
